PHEC NI is a multidsciplinary initiative aimed at bringing prehospital professionals and practitioners together with the common goal of providing a forum for continuing professional development; ultimately  to improvie the delivery of emergency care and transport of acutely ill or injured patients through multidisciplinary interaction in a professional and social setting.

Each month a case will be presented to the forum with a guideline based discussion on management points and any recent updates on the topic presented. This will be followed by a short presentation on definitive emergency management in the emergency department or theatres.

The meeting is cohosted with an undergraduate medical student society called QUB scrubs.  over the last year or so PHEC NI has strenghtend links with undergraduates by piloting a first aid for medics programme.  for more information on PHEC NI and our activities please browse the site.
